Quality Management and Patient Safety Department
In line with Dar Al Shifa Hospital’s mission, the Quality Management and Patient Safety Department works closely with hospital staff to continuously improve the quality of care provided while maintaining a risk-free work environment to ensure compliance with local and international accreditation standards.
The involvement and support of executive and technical officials in the activities of the Quality Management Department is reflected in the chairmanship of Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, General Manager of the Hospital, of the Quality and Patient Safety Committee.
The Quality Management Department identifies development priorities available to patients by reviewing performance data and implementing appropriate quality development projects to ensure high-quality services.
Achieving effective quality and patient safety
The Quality Management Department at Dar Al Shifa Hospital has established the leadership and organizational infrastructure of the hospital to ensure high safety, efficiency and high-level patient care, which is an integral part of the daily practice of all staff.
Our goal is to spread awareness throughout the hospital and consolidate these concepts, which led to the need to establish the Quality Management Department. We work collaboratively with healthcare providers to achieve these goals and improve the experience of our patients and their families while receiving services at the hospital.
Our guiding principles are to care for patients according to local and international standards and follow up on performance indicators to achieve the highest levels of performance in all departments and achieve the highest rates of patient satisfaction.
Patient Safety
The World Health Organization defines patient safety as the prevention of errors and harmful effects that affect patients associated with or resulting from the provision of health care.
