Before the end of the last Hijri century, the honorable self-made businessman Abdullah bin Zaid bin Nasser Al Mahmoud sensed the need of the city of Riyadh, in which he grew up, for a distinguished private medical service, and with the mentality of a successful man and mature thought, policies and strategies were drawn up based on a dream of creating a huge medical edifice that would provide for those seeking Recovery, God willing, from the trouble of traveling outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At that time, the necessary plans were put in place, and the material and human capabilities were provided, and successes were achieved according to the perspective of a capable businessman. The nucleus was a dispensary that included some of the specialties that were seen at the time as urgently needed to provide, announcing the birth of the Dar Al-Shifa Medical Group in the year 1396 AH, as a beating heart in the center of the city of Riyadh, the capital, concerned with providing Health service according to a new concept, the slogan of which is: “We take care of you after God’s care.” The dream, which was monitored by the eyes of His Excellency Sharif Abdullah bin Zaid bin Nasser Al Mahmoud, continued to grow little by little, and the need for expansion increased due to the great demand of visitors seeking hospitalization, which was driven by the distinction and quality of the medical service and the utmost trust in the Dar Al Shifa Medical Group. With the eye of an expert and a vision of unlimited ambition, Dar Al Shifa Hospital spoke of its efficiency and ability to provide the highest health and medical services to its visitors, with a capacity of fifty beds, in the year 1413 AH.

He brought more distinguished medical personnel from all over the world in order to provide the best types of therapeutic services to hospital visitors. The ambition did not stop there, but rather went beyond creating a giant edifice overlooking King Fahd Road as an additional expansion to raise the number of beds to ninety beds and as a landmark in the city of Riyadh. As one of the city’s major projects, it is reliable when visiting Riyadh for non-residents. The aesthetic appearance was taken into account when designing it, given that it is located on the most important road in the city of Riyadh. In addition, twenty-two VIP hospitalization suites and (64) independent hospitalization rooms were provided, and it was equipped with the latest medical equipment from Operating rooms, intensive care for adults and children, maternity rooms, modern laboratories with accurate results and highly advanced radiology. It was supported by a sufficient number of specialized and highly skilled medical personnel in all specialties, in addition to trained and capable nurses. It is not surprising that Dar Al-Shifa Hospital in Riyadh is a prominent title for success because behind it is a capable board of directors headed by a seasoned self-made man.
