First: the rights of patients and their families

  • Knowing patients and their families about their rights, duties and responsibilities.
  • Get full health care.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Respect and appreciation from the work team.
  • Providing complete protection and safety.
  • Participate in the health care plan – therapeutic and preventive – and obtain sufficient information from the treating physician about (diagnosis and treatment).
  • The patient has the right to request prior written consent to perform any medical or surgical procedure.
  • The patient has the right to refuse any treatment after a thorough explanation by the doctor about the effects and complications that this refusal may cause. The hospital or the treating doctor will not be responsible for the consequences of this refusal.
  • Participation in research and study programs after obtaining the patient’s consent.
  • Clarifying the patient’s financial costs and health insurance.
  • The patient has the right to submit an oral or written complaint or submit proposals to the hospital administration.

Second: Duties of patients and their families

  • The patient and his family must provide all information regarding his health condition, including medications, diseases for which he has previously been treated, infectious diseases, allergic conditions, and his frequency of treatment in any hospital.
  • The patient and his family must inform the treating physician if they do not intend to continue the scheduled treatment.
  • The patient and his family must follow all guidelines and instructions and adhere to hospital regulations, including adhering to visiting times and fulfilling all financial obligations related to patient care.
  • The patient and his family must respond to the treatment-related instructions provided to him by the medical staff.
  • The patient and his family must respect the rights of other patients and hospital staff while adhering to non-disturbing and non-smoking inside the hospital.
  • Hospital employees are there to serve you. They must be respected and not assaulted in any way, whether verbally or physically.
